Carfel can only be damaged by blue glow or silver weapons - This means you must use a +2 silver dagger, Yeti Dagger or Kosh Gauntlets to hurt him.

They are dropped off Carfel who resides deep in the Yasnaki complex of the Underkingdom. Carfel’s lair is defended by Shelob, a giant spider that settled at the entrance of Carfel’s lair.
