Ryujin can be found in a currently unmapped area by heading North from the AG Portal Room and sticking to the north wall, taking the stairs when you come to them. Then, heading north (circling around the northing building that will be in your way) and taking the rope up. Follow this area until you get to a Pagoda-like building where you can either go west or north with a weird floor visual. West takes you deeper into Pagoda (and Cursed Panda), and North takes you to a giant room filled with water and Ryujin.
When running to his lair, beware the tengu decievers. These are invisible archer mobs, there are 6-8 on the way to Ryujin and they high-roll their shots on occasion to deal 70-100 damage. Having a few of these on you can be risky if multiple perform a high roll shot.
Ryujin's lair is filled with invisible mobs. Tutored Ninjas aren't that big of a threat and are easily handled, however the other mob in this lair, the flying water snakes, will make the Ryujin fight more difficult as they poison on hit and are pretty beefy compared to the ninjas.
It's highly recommended to circle around Ryujin's lair either on the west or east (I do west) side and just take your time allowing any patrolling mobs to aggro you to clear them out. Ryujin patrols the entire room, so you might get lucky and can fight him in a far away corner away from most of the aggro. Expect a few things to add during the fight. Try to avoid fighting Ryujin in the center of the room as it's very easy to get overwhelmed by all the patrols in the lair.
Ryujin himself can be challenging to fight if you don't have ~40 MR. If you are fighting him without MR, you will want to bring others to help and have the person he's attacking kite him around a small section of room as the ranged whirlwind can be dodged. If you have ~40+ MR though, you can just fight him on one hex. Just be ready to balm when he does his whirlwind as it does ~200 damage at 40 MR and if he gets a high roll hit on you during it, you can find yourself chunked down pretty quickly. If you are also poisoned, it's a bit scary.
It's also worth noting that Ryujin has scaling mechanics in the presence of a party. I've been told he scales up to 8 players, though I'm unclear what "scaling" here means. Probably HP, could be damage?
Unlike Kesh, the gems you put into AG Gear seem to alter the items rarity, so if Ryujin drops a legendary gem, putting that into a Panda Skull will make that Panda Skull legendary, regardless of what it was before, so upgrade responsibly!
