Upon entering the Spirit of Alkabar's area you will be greeted by Alkabar's Guardian who drops a Helberd. Just north of the Guardian is the Rotting Mummy who drops milky ice dragon scales. When slain the Rotting Mummy will thank you for releasing his true form and the Spirit of Alkabar will spawn 2-3 rounds later.

The Spirit of Alkabar is a stationary boss positioned directly in the middle of his lair. He can only be damaged by magic attacks and frequently casts Poison Cloud, Death, Lightning, and Dragon's Breathe Lightning.

The Spirit of Alkabar has a chance to drop the Wizard Hat and/or Caster Gloves. He will always drop one of the two pearls needed to create the Caster's Crit ring. The other pearl can be obtained from Thutmose. Additionally, the Insane Froglock Wizard has a chance to drop either pearl.
